Yi Li received his Ph.D in Sociology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2015. Then he worked as a postdoctoral associate at Duke University. Prior to joining the Department of Sociology at the University of Macau in 2017, he was a tenure-track assistant professor (lecturer) in the School of Demography at the Australian National University. One of his main research interests is demography. He is also interested in gene-environment interaction effects on population health. His work has appeared in Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Biodemography and Social Biology, and Asian Population Studies.
