Ph.D. Senior Scientist
Bruce brings to LSI expertise in all aspects of mortality and survival estimation, with a particular emphasis on biostatistics and the integration of biology and demography. His knowledge as a biostatistician and co-creator of the field of biodemography enables him to develop and test all new applications associated with life and health estimation. Bruce is internationally recognized as a top biostatistician with expertise in aging and longevity, and he has served as an advisor to several insurance companies and financial institutions in an effort to help them develop and test improved methods of forecasting length and quality of life.
Bruce received a B.S. in biology from the University of Utah, an M.S. in Population Biology from the University of Houston, an M.A. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Ecology from the University of Kansas.
